SpaceLab Named “Best Innovative Company” at the National Shapagat 2025 Awards

SpaceLab LLP has been awarded the title of “Best Innovative Company” at the Shapagat 2025 National Invention Achievements Competition, organized by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan in cooperation with the National Institute of Intellectual Property Qazpatent. Since its launch in 2004, Shapagat has become a key national platform promoting innovation and intellectual property culture in Kazakhstan. This year, the jury evaluated projects against several criteria, including the novelty of technical solutions, relevance for key economic sectors, level of implementation, industrial application potential, and prospects for successful commercialization. The competition featured six main categories: “Invention of the Year”, “Woman-Inventor”, “Best Innovative Company”, “Most Active Inventor”, “Young Inventor”, and “Young Talent”, as well as the honorary title “Honored Inventor of the Republic of Kazakhstan”. “This award confirms the importance of developing world-class high-tech solutions in Kazakhstan and recognizes our focus on satellite IoT systems, industrial sensors, and advanced additive manufacturing,” said SPACELAB CEO Arman Bekembayev, expressing gratitude to the Ministry of Justice, Qazpatent, and the Shapagat organizing committee. The award ceremony took place at the Q. Kuanyshbayev Kazakh National Music and Drama Theatre in Astana and brought together representatives of government bodies, international organizations, foreign patent offices, the corporate sector, and the scientific community.
